School Council

The School Council consists of a group of children from all year groups at Green Lane. Mrs. Cheesman organises and encourages this very enthusiatic and hard working group.

Classes hold a Class Council fornightly where they discuss and bring ideas forward. Ideas may include things the class think Green Lane do particularly well or maybe things that we can do better.
These ideas are  taken to the School Council by the Class Councillors. Mrs. Cheesman helps todirect the children to ensure that all ideas are discussed  and all questions are answered.

Ideas raised by the School Council have included new procedures in the dining room at lunchtimes, playground equipment for the playground and ideas for improving our levels of recycling.
